Nathan J. Dang, PLS
Principal/Professional Land Surveyor (Idaho and California)
Nathan is the founder of Accurate Surveying & Mapping in 2005. He began land surveying three decades ago in Fairplay, Colorado. Surveying at elevations of over 10,000 feet, working on diverse projects such as rural lot surveys, ski area boundaries, and 150-year-old mineral claims, was just the sort of challenge to engage Nathan in a lifelong career in land surveying. In California, Nathan worked in a mix of urban and rural environments, becoming an expert at topographic mapping, construction staking, boundary law, and the art of cartography.
Nathan is committed to producing the highest quality of work, with particular emphasis on the continued education of his staff and the public in the art and science of land surveying. He is a past president of the Idaho Society of Professional Land Surveyors, a former Idaho representative of the Western Federation of Professional Surveyors, and recipient of the Surveyor of the Year award in 2015.
Throughout his career, Nathan has been committed to utilizing cutting-edge technology, making sure the ASM crew receives proper training to use these tools at an expert level. Nathan’s commitment to advanced technology is matched only by his focus on quality, customer service, and performing each job with the highest level of integrity. He is the first one to take responsibility for an issue and the first one to give credit where credit is due.
Nathan and his family have made Boise, Idaho, their home since 2004. He has a degree in photojournalism from Marist College and is a former skateboarder who also enjoys mountain biking, snowboarding, ski-biking, and music.
